Phastan is one of the few members of the 16 that actually had weapons knowledge and trained before becoming a part of the group. He was purposely sought out by the leader for his knowledge of war practices and theory. They had sent Phastan multiple letters asking him to join a "resistance" that the man had not acknowledged and thrown out due to his disbelief in demons and seeing the letters as a waste of his time and a joke. The male was a ex soldier before deserting when he came across his own men killing children and women during a raid of a village that had revolted. His first encounter with a demon came as he walked the night roads back home to Setagaya, there were rustling bushes and snapped branches being rustled in the tree line near the path. His keen skills from battle picked up on the noises he heard and had known he was being followed for a while before then. His hand always stayed on the hilt of his sword even when the demon lunged out of the brushes at blinding speed, Phastan was still able to draw his weapon, pivot and strike as the demon passed him through the air. Coming face to face with hatred and hunger was nothing new to the male but seeing the distorted face of a demon with sharp teeth and blood shot wide eyes was still slightly unnerving even if he didn't let it show on his face. Another wide strike came from the demon as it closed the distance while Phastan took a step back before raising his katana above his head and bringing it back down with violent force delivering what would have been a killing stroke to anyone else. The strike cut clean through the demons flesh letting it gush blood before closing up before his eyes almost instantly. The demon just as shocked as he was from the exchange quickly jumped back into the woods surrounding them and could be heard dashing through before there was nothing but silence again. Sheathing his sword Phastan walked with more purpose home to quickly respond back to the last letter he had received before setting off to meet with the group at the designated location. There was much work to be done if this is what the world would be subjected to, he wouldn't let anyone die to things they knew nothing about, the world was scary enough with just humans.

This trainer is probably the only one that you'll find that is more on the normal side of things, besides the master of the group he doesn't associate with any of the other teachers. He regrets that the young Yuris brothers are even a part of this and has tried multiple times to get them to relinquish their place in the ranks and return to living their lives as children should. Due to the nature of the sound style Phastan trains outside in a giant pit away from prying eyes but also to protect the environment and animals from the destructive force. He trains his students strictly preferring proper form and steady strikes to learn the basics before allowing his students to kill themselves with explosives. He hates teaching younger students however the younger ones are easier to teach due to muscle memory and habits still being formed and easily broken.

Sound breathing special ability
As this style only had one user it is incredibly difficult to use and even more difficult to master. For every attack 1-3 anti demon bombs can be used as well dealing between 2-6 extra damage. Due to the user being inexperienced they also CAN take damage from the blasts. Until hinoto rank you must succeed in a blast evasion roll if failed you take half the damage dealt do to still mastering listening to the attackers body and predicting it’s movements

Breathing techniques

First Form: Roar- The user lifts their twin swords above their head and slams them down with great force whilst simultaneously creating an explosion with bombs to deal massive physical damage, causing a loud sound resembling thunder as a result. Phastan teaches you this technique for the final selection. releases 2 bombs. -10 breath

Fourth Form: Constant Resounding Slashes- The user holds their swords apart and spins them rapidly in conjunction with releasing their bombs, creating massive explosions while defending themselves from attacks. Defensive technique if used at the end of your post and successful, deploy 4 bombs around you at a safe distance where you won't have to roll for blast evasion lowers damage from opponents post by -5. Phastan will teach you this technique for 1000 words. -15 breath

Fifth Form: String Performance- The user holds one of their swords with a reverse grip and spins the other using the chain that connects them. They couple this by also releasing numerous bombs to detonate, causing great explosions that deal massive physical damage. Releases 6 bombs. Phastan believes that all demon slayers should have all the tools they need for battle from the beginning, he will teach you this technique for 2000 word count. -25 breath
